This lovely doujinshi was bought direct from the artist--who is wickedly talented, by the way. On top of that, she's Canadian, like me :)

As you can tell, the cover is a colour-rich, Bleach-in-Alice-in-Wonderland setting. When I first received this doujinshi, all I could do was stare at the cover--at the colours, the characters themselves, but what caught me the most was the perspective. It's very well done, and I had a blast trying to find Ishida.

As for the content itself, the doujinshi is split into five short stories. The first is a semi-serious piece on Rukia and how she compares Ichigo and Kaien-dono. The page where she's remembering holding Kaien first then Ichigo was drawn especially well. Rukia's eyes were very expressive, and the overall shadowing created a very good effect. The second story is mainly of Ichigo and Orihime roleplaying William Shakespeare's MacBeth. Everyone is wondering where Orihime and Ichigo are when Orihime all of a sudden bursts into class, crouching and grabbing at a desk. If that isn't enough to startle everyone, she also begins to quote Shakespeare. And someone also joins in: Ichigo. Which startles everyone, of course, since they are speaking in English. Ichigo is apparently fluent in English here because he watched North American movies for three days straight ^^ There is a mock battle with sticks and the quoting continues until Orihime makes a strike at MacDuff (Ichigo). But she has made a mistake, because MacDuff is not supposed to die--MacBeth is. Ichigo corrects her, but no one seems to notice Orihime's mistake because they're all surpised that Orihime "creamed" Ichigo in their mock battle.

Third story is strictly Renji and Rukia. They're having a conversation about something that is apparently pissing Rukia off. She's trying to explain but is so vague about it that Renji just eggs her on. In the end, Rukia pulls a classic move and draws it out for Renji. The fourth story is my favourite. It starts out innocently enough with Ishida working up the courage to ask Orihime on a date, and when he does, all he gets is a nonplussed Orihime. Why? Because she's always thought that Ishida was gay, and what was supposed to be a private conversation turns into an all out discussion on Ishida's sexual preference with Chizuru trying to claim territory and Tatsuki stomping her into the ground. Hilarious, but sadly, poor Ishida can't seem to convince Orihime that he's interested in girls.

The last story is just one page long, but it is a great representation of the relationship between Ichigo and Ishida--two guys who like to piss each other off. Ichigo is explaining to Ishida about a fight he had with a hollow. Everything would be all right except for the fact that Ichigo must have said the word "haphazard" at least 10 times in the course of his conversation. And it's obvious he knows that he's annoying the hell out of Ishida.
